The Central European Rally (CER) is the next, and the 12th, round of the championship which will feature visits to the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria, in its final season ahead of 2026, where it will not be featured.

For the first time since the sport visited the Canary Islands, for Rally Islas Canarias, those competing in CER will face asphalt roads.

It will be the first of two back-to-back events to feature this surface ahead of Rally Japan, the penultimate round of the season, before it rounds off the campaign with the gravel stages of Saudi Arabia.

There were no big shocking changes in the entry list with the expected contenders present for the next round of the championship. The only shocking twist comes to Hyundai’s Ott Tanak who will not score manufacturer points.

Toyota

Sebastien Ogier, well within the title fight with three rounds to contest, will lead the defending manufacturer as the current championship leader, having taken over second-placed Elfyn Evans after Rally Chile.

Kalle Rovanpera, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari will continue to round off the Japanese marquee line-up. Rovanpera still remains in mathematical contention for the title, 21 points behind Ogier.

Hyundai

Ott Tanak will continue to lead teammates Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux with the South Korean manufacturer, as the usual trio.

Tanak is expected to run a new engine in the event to bolster his championship hopes as the leading Hyundai driver.

M-Sport Ford

Gregoire Munster and Joshua McErlean will continue to compete as part of the two-car line-up for the Cumbrian M-Sport team.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
