Aston Martin have become the seventh team to reveal their 2023 challenger, the AMR23, at their factory launch in Silverstone.

Revealing their championship contender hours after McLaren revealed their contender, Aston Martin have unveiled their 2023 car with an evolution of their predecessor.

Aston Martins Executive Chairman, Lawrence Stroll, was present when the AMR23 was presented to the world, alongside team principle, Mike Krack, and the team’s new driver line up which consisted of Lance Stroll and, new recruit, Fernando Alonso – who moved to the Silverstone outfit from Alpine.

The team are hoping their upgrades to the car design, ahead of the upcoming season, can send the team up the order after they finished the 2022 season seventh level on points with Alfa Romeo (55pts), who finished in sixth following better results.

Aston Martin have retained the team’s colour scheme from last season which consisted the British racing green colour with highlights of lime green. Lime green accompanied the racing green colour palette in 2022 after BWT’s iconic pink moved over to Alpine, last season.

The car is set to have a filming day at Silverstone on February 15, the same day Mercedes are set to reveal their 2023 challenger. It has been reported that Stroll will get the first opportunity to drive the 2023 contender for the filming day, in the morning, before Alonso takes over in the afternoon.

Aston Martin will soon head off to Bahrain for pre-season testing on February 23-25 before the season officially gets underway, a week later.
