The WEC will finally get underway this weekend at the 6 Hours of Imola, which will now stand as the sport’s 2026 curtain raiser, after the postponement of the Qatar 1812km, following the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
It means, home heroes, Ferrari will get their title defence going – for both the drivers and teams championships – on home turf in the Emilia-Romagna region.
The Italian squad and their #51 car, driven by Alessandro Pier Guidi, Antonio and James Calado secured both titles in last season’s season finale, at the 8 Hours of Bahrain.
According to the weather guys at BBC Weather, the WEC is expected to avoid the worst of the weather with a dry weekend expected. In the week following the opening endurance race, thundery showers, light rain and drizzle will be expected for the residents of the Imola region.
So, what is the weather report for the 6 Hours of Imola?
