Cadillac and Aston Martin take pole for 6 Hours of Fuji
27th September 2025Cadillac and Aston Martin take pole positions, for the hypercar and LMGT3 class, ahead of the World Endurance Championship’s 6 Hours of Fuji.

Hypercar
The #12 Cadillac V-Series.R stands as the pole sitter for Sunday’s six-hour race after Alex Lynn put in an impressive pole position time, a 1m 28.236s. It was 0.439 seconds faster than the sister Cadillac, #38, driven by Earl Bamber, who completed a 1-2 for the American brand.
It left Aston Martin’s #009 to complete the top three, 0.030 seconds behind the trailing Cadillac. Peugeot’s #93 and BMW’s #20 cars completed the top five, in fourth and fifth, respectively, a maximum of 0.709 seconds off the pole-setting pace.
Ferrari sandwiched the rest of the pack when Hyperpole concluded with the works team #51 car finishing in sixth ahead of the #83 privateer of AF Corse, in 10th. This left the #5 Porsche, #8 Toyota and #35 Alpine to fill in the void in seventh, eighth and ninth.
LMGT3
Aston Martin’s #10 Racing Spirit of Leman took pole for the LMGT3 field, driven by Eduardo Barrichello after the Brazilian driver claimed the fastest time with a 1m 39.981s. It was narrowly won ahead of the two United Autosport McLarens, who rounded out the top three with the #95 and #59 cars finishing second and third.
The maximum gap amongst the top three cars stood as high as 0.032 seconds, with the #59 McLaren missing out on second place by 0.002 seconds.
Aston Martin’s #27 Vantage, of the Heart of Racing Team, and Porsche’s Manthey 1st Phorm Porsche rounded out the top five, in fourth and fifth, respectively.
The sister TF Sport Corvettes, #33 and #81, completed Hyperpole in sixth and seventh. Ferrari completed the top 10 in eighth and 10th, with the #54 Vista AF Corse heading the #21 sister car. This left the #88 Proton Competition to fill in the gap, in ninth.
