Cadillac snatched the lead of the race with their #38 car at the two-hour mark after they overtook the #5 Porsche Penske after the Senna S. But now the Cadillac #12 leads the race ahead of its sister car.
The lead has changed hands across the race as the car had taken pole position before they had to give up the lead on the opening lap to the #5 Porsche.
Porsche continued to lead after the pit stop sequences were completed, but after two hours, the lead changed back to Cadillac. The #12 took the lead as the #38 conducted its pit stop.
São Paulo was impacted by two full-course yellows just before the halfway mark.
The first FCY first came with three hours and 46 minutes left on the clock, as there were marshals out on the circuit. It was quickly lifted. The second came nearly 20 minutes later, with three hours and 28 minutes on the clock due to debris.
Again, this was quickly lifted after two minutes.
LMGT3 did not go without issue either, as the Porsche #92, Manthey 1st Phorm, spun out at turn 11 and prompted a brief yellow flag before it got going again.
At the two-hour mark, the McLaren #95, United Autosports, was given a drive-through penalty for an issue with tyre pressures.
At the halfway mark, it was Lexus leading the way with Akkodis ASP Team out front in a one-two position, led by the #87 car over the #78. Iron Lynx’s #61 completed the top three.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
