Toyota have confirmed they will bring special livery designs for their GR010 Hybrid hypercars, which will have ‘a unique combination of livery designs.’
The team have confirmed one car will be designed to represent ‘an iconic race car’ from the past, whilst the other will capture their fighting spirit, with both cars hoping to challenge for victory next month.
One of the cars will feature a red-and-white livery, whilst the other will feature a familiar black livery.
The #7 GR010, which will be driven by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi and Nyck de Vries, will be painted in the red-and-white colour scheme to represent the past. The car’s design was inspired by the TS020, which took part in 1998 and 1999.
Its design will hold a reimagined version of the design for the 2025-specification #7 car, with a red base colour and jagged white flashes.
Whilst the #7 will represent the past, with the TS020 connection, the #8 GR010 – driven by Sebastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa – will represent the present. The design is set to capture the team’s spirit of speed and their ‘hate to lose’ mentality.
Both cars are set to feature a new logo which will highlight the 40th anniversary of Toyota’s Le Mans debut.
The team will take their learnings from Spa-Francorchamps, which wass won by Ferrari last weekend, and make a challenge for their sixth victory at the Le Mans’ Circuit de Sarthe.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
