Norris has topped the timing boards at the Hungaroring during free practice two of the Hungarian Grand Prix, following his earlier fastest lap in FP1.
It means the British driver has completed a sweep of fastest laps on Friday across both practice sessions.
The Briton pipped his teammate and championship rival, Oscar Piastri, by two-tenths of a second as Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc completed the top three.
Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso returned to the track having missed out on FP1 due to a back injury, and was replaced by Felipe Drugovich. However, despite managing an injury, the two-time world champion still managed to put in a top-five lap time on the board.
Kick Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg was also another driver to hit the track for the first time, as the German driver was forced to miss out on FP1 as the team opted to run an FP1 rookie, Paul Aron.
Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was set to take a visit to the stewards after it was found that the four-time world champion threw a towel out of his car in between turns three and four.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
