Hungary Grand Prix: the latest weather forecast for F1 race
29th July 2025Formula 1 heads to the Hungaroring for the Hungarian Grand Prix and the weather looks to point towards a dry forecast ahead of the summer break.

F1 heads to Hungary for the 14th round of the 24-round season, ahead of the summer break, and will conclude the penultimate European double header of the season.
Last time out, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri reigned victorious in a wet-dry race around the historic Spa-Francorchamps and has extended his lead in the drivers championship to 16 points ahead of, teammate, Lando Norris.
It will be the last race of the current double header in Europe, before the summer break, which consisted of the Belgian and Hungarian Grand Prix. After the two-week shutdown, the sport will remain in Europe for the last two races; Netherlands and Italy, before continuing around the world.
It is expected to be a dry race weekend this time in Hungary. So, according to the BBC, what is the weather expected to be like at the Hungaroring this weekend?
The Weather Report
Friday
It is expected to be a sunny start to the weekend with conditions expected to be dry on Friday for both Free Practice 1 and Free Practice 2. Temperatures will start at 26° for the opening session of the weekend before increasing by a degree going into the second hour of practice.
There is no chance of rain for FP1, but this does increase marginally to 6% for the second practice session.
Saturday
The second day of the weekend follows similar conditions to Friday with sunny weather, albeit with some cloud in attendance. Temperatures will start for the final hour of practice at 26° before increasing up to 27°, for qualifying.
There is a risk of rain in the region with it increasing from 7% in FP3 to 21% for qualifying.
Sunday
It is expected to be sunny all day on Sunday, for the Hungarian Grand Prix, with temperatures reaching 25° at race start. The risk of rain is low, standing at 11% at race time.
