Ferrari was at the venue of the Spanish Grand Prix, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, where the team were conducting behind-closed-door tests with both Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
It was reported, during Hamilton’s run, that he had crashed on the second day of the three-day test.
Fortunately, Hamilton was unhurt in his crash in the team’s 2023 championship contender, the SF-23. As a result of the crash, Leclerc was not able to run in the afternoon session.

Hamilton was reportedly out on track on Tuesday, getting up to speed with his new team, where the multiple world champion finished without incident. The behind-closed-doors test follows on from Hamilton’s first on-track debut at the team’s private circuit Fiorano.
Unsurprisingly, the team is using their 2023 challenger, which is allowed under the regulations. However, the team’s two drivers can only drive limited mileage as part of the Testing of Previous Cars.
Despite this, the two drivers will not have to wait long for more running – after their private test – as they are set to head out to Bahrain for the official pre-season test in the team’s 2025 car on February 26-28.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
