On Monday, Mercedes have confirmed they will be unveiling their upcoming contender six days after the team reveal its livery at the inaugural pre-season F1 launch event, at the London O2 Arena.

According to a team statement, photography will be shared on the team’s social media channels, ahead of the car’s official shakedown in Bahrain. ‘A video package’ is also set to be available with interviews from Toto Wolff, George Russell and new-arrival Kimi Antonelli.

The 2025 car will be the start of a new era for the team as it will mark their first season without Lewis Hamilton who moved over to Ferrari this year. Their W16 car will be driven by experienced driver Russell and F1 rookie Antonelli.

Mercedes have become the latest team to reveal their car outside the F1 launch event on February 18, where they will join the other nine competing teams. However, this is set to be a livery launch for the team with their official car being unveiled on February 24.

The Silver Arrows will join the likes of Williams, Haas and Ferrari who will reveal their machinery outside the launch with a special promotional event for Williams and a filming day for Haas.

Ferrari’s car will get its debut on track, on February 19, a day after the launch event.

After the shakedown for Mercedes, the team will jump into the three-day pre-season test at Bahrain alongside their competitors on February 26-28.
