On Friday, F1 and leading global toy and family entertainment company, Mattel, revealed the F1 Hot Wheels product range which is expected to launch globally in 2025.

The collection will include eight F1 teams at 1:64 scale, only Aston Martin and Ferrari, are not in the collection. These will feature Hot Wheels’ Basics and premium models that closely replicate real-life F1 machinery. The premium models will include a metal body and chassis, authentic team liveries and driver numbers and Pirelli tyres.

The product range brings to life the eight teams through Hot Wheels’ Basics – in both single and five-pack assortments, premium collectors items and F1 track and play sets.

On the unveiling, Formula 1 Chief Commercial Officer, Emily Prazer said:

“It’s fantastic to see the Hot Wheels Formula 1 collection begin to hit the shelves around the world.

“We want to drive our fans’ passion for racing, and these superbly and intricately designed cars will allow them to experience the drama and excitement of Formula 1 in the palm of their hands at home.”

This release is set to expand on the limited edition 1:64 die-cast F1 branded car which was launching last year. These products will allow fans to race friends and family on two specifically designed track sets; Formula 1 Sprint Circuit and Formula 1 Sprint Race.

The Sprint Circuit will allow fans to ‘battle and overtake’ to the chequered flag whereas the Sprint Race set will feature ‘a DRS booster’ which will give the Hot Wheels an ‘extra edge.’

“The spirited response from fans around the world following our Hot Wheels and Formula 1 announcement has been thrilling,” commented Roberto Stanichi, Executive Vice President of Hot Wheels and Global Head of Vehicles and Building Sets.

“The next phase of the partnership is all about giving fans the products and experiences that bring the worlds of Hot Wheels and F1 together in a way that has never been done before, and we’re just getting started.”

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
