Three rounds remain on the 2024 world championship as WRC heads to Chile for the 11th round of the 13-round season, and Neuville continues to lead the championship.

The Belgian was under pressure last time in Greece as Toyota’s Sebastien Ogier looked to secure a second-place finish to keep his championship hopes alive.

However, on the Wolf Power Stage, the eight-time world champion rolled out, and Neuville won. This extends the Belgian’s championship lead to 34 points ahead of teammate, Ott Tanak who moved up to second.

Going into Chile, each team has made minor adjustments heading to South America.

Hyundai

Neuville and Tanak will naturally continue their full-time programmes with the team as they look to fight for the championship. Tanak won the event last time out with a tyre masterclass when the Estonian competed with M-Sport Ford.

However, Esapekka Lappi returns to compete in Hyundai’s third car for the South American rally.

Toyota

There are two changes with Toyota this time around, both around the same person. The team will bring four cars to this event, compared to the three last time out, and the additional car will be piloted by reigning world champion Kalle Rovanpera.

Ogier, Elfyn Evans and Takamoto Katsuta will drive the remaining three cars – as they did in Greece.

M-Sport Ford

There is only one driver change for the Cumbrian-based team as Martins Sesks gets his third outing with the team, replacing Jorudan Serderidis who raced for the team in Greece, in the Rally1 machinery.

Adrien Fourmaux and Gregoire Munster will continue to perform with the team, as usual.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
