Hyundai’s Thierry Neuville will be looking to extend his championship lead over the charging Toyota of Sebastien Ogier with only four rallies – including this one – left to go.

Last time out, Ogier secured the win in Finland after, teammate, Kalle Rovanpera crashed out on the penultimate stage and catapulted the eight-time world championship into a title fight he didn’t want or need.

However, the weather looks to be fairly hot this weekend, with temperatures soaring between 34° and 20°, according to AccuWeather

Lamía report

Lamía is where the service park will be held during the event and the majority of the first day and final day of action will be contained to the region.

When the action gets underway on Friday, it will be a cloudy day but will remain hot. This will be similar to Saturday with the day being described as mostly sunny.

However, the weather is set to drastically shift on Sunday with morning thunderstorms forecasted to hit the area. The probability of precipitation stands at its highest of the weekend at 61%.

Thiva report

On Saturday, the WRC heads south-east towards the Greek capital of Athens with Thiva being the central location of the region in which Saturday’s action will be set.

However, the teams and crews will not have to worry about a spanner being thrown into the mix as the day is expected to be mostly sunny, with highs of 33° and lows of 21°.

Stage seven is one of the outliers in the action, returning to the outskirts of Lamia, whilst stages nine, 10 and 11 head west towards Loutraki. Again, there is no threat of rain in the regions but it is expected to be sunny.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
