Following stand-out performances in both Poland and Latvia, Sesks has been gifted with another go at the premier class of the WRC in Chile, next month.
The two promising performances from the Latvian have allowed Sesks to get additional funding to help him secure another drive with the Rally1 Puma. Like in Poland, this Puma will be the non-hybrid variant which will not be equipped with the hybrid system that the remaining Rally1 contenders will be using.
However, the non-hybrid variant hasn’t stopped Sesks from putting in some blistering performances securing a second-fastest stage time and multiple top-five stage times in Poland, when he made his debut in the hybrid-less Rally1 Puma.
Look who's back! 👀🚗
After strong results in Poland and Latvia, Mārtiņš Sesks returns for his third outing with M-Sport, at Rally Chile where he will be back behind the wheel of the non-hybrid Ford Puma Rally1🏁 We can’t wait to see him back in the car, ready to push for more🔥 pic.twitter.com/inFN2uixU7

“We are very grateful for the opportunity to drive a Rally1 car again, just two months after our previous rally,” said Sesks.
“It’s been an incredible adventure so far, and the experience of driving keeps getting better. Competing in Chile in a Rally1 car is truly amazing, so I’d like to give a big thank you to M-Sport and the WRC Promoter for their support and cooperation.”
Sesks, and his co-driver Renārs Francis, will also endure a few challenges during the weekend which include building up the pacenotes for the event itself.
Sesks has not competed in the event previously, bringing an additional challenge to his experience of the Chile rally, however, he would be able to benefit from the road order at the start of the weekend.

On the news, M-Sport Ford Team Principal, Richard Millener has praised Sesks and his return to the top flight of the WRC, he said:
“Mārtiņš made a strong impression in his previous two events with us, so it’s a pleasure to welcome him back to the team in Chile. This will undoubtedly be a challenging event, completely different from the previous ones.
“With no prior experience on this tricky rally, it’s no easy task, but it’s a great opportunity for him to showcase his versatility and further establish himself as a future talent. We hope this experience will bolster his ambition to become a regular name in the Rally1 class.”
