Following the release of the entry list to WRC’s next round, the EKO Acropolis Rally Greece, one prominent name on the WRC2 list was missing: Solberg.
The young Swede had competed in a point-scoring round last time out, in Rally Finland, of which he took home 25 points and catapulted himself into the championship lead.
At the same time, in Finland, Pajari enjoyed some time behind the wheel of Toyota’s Rally1 Yaris meaning he did not contribute points to his WRC2 championship ambitions.
Pajari has been confirmed on the entry list to Rally Greece, heading up the WRC2 field in place of the current championship leader, Solberg who opted to sit out this round of the championship.
Sebastien Ogier is set to compete in Acropolis Rally Greece, in a few weeks.
His participation in the remainder of the 2024 season remains unknown.#WRC / #RallyGreece / #EKOAcropolisRallyGreece

As it currently stands, Solberg leads the championship on 111 points after 25-point finishes in both Latvia and Finland whilst Pajari trails just 28 points behind, on 83 points.
Per the rulebook, the WRC2 drivers can start up to seven rallies across the season with their six best results counting to their end-of-season score.
At this point in the championship, Solberg has contested six rounds of 2024 whilst his closest rivals Pajari and Yohan Rossell have competed in less, five and four respectively.
