8th December 2022 0 By Kamron Kent

Avalanche Andretti have revealed their Gen3 car alongside their new driver line-up; Jake Dennis and Andre Lotterer.

The Andretti team have finally revealed their Gen3 2023 contender, on Thursday, ahead of the pre-season test in Valencia which is due to get underway in the next few days.

Ahead of the new season, Andretti will see their Gen3 car powered by a new powertrain, supplied by Porsche. The new partnership between the two will hopefully put the team a more lucrative position, competing for more race wins and podium finishes.

The American team had a mixed run in the 2022 season as they finished sixth in the team standings, with 150 points to their name, separated by both Envision Racing (P5) and Tag Heuer Porsche (P7).

Andretti secured a podium finish in the opening weekend of the season, at the Diriyah E-Prix, before they finally secured their first win of the season – and another podium finish – in London.

The team managed to round out the season with another podium finish in Seoul, South Korea, all of which came at the hands of Dennis.

Andretti Autosport, CEO and Chairman, Michael Andretti said:

“We’re really excited to see what this next year brings for Avalanche Andretti Formula E.

“We are entering our ninth season, and each year for us in the World Championship gets stronger.

“We’re proud to again showcase the Avalanche colors, and happy to welcome Andre to the team alongside Jake as we enter the Gen3 era.”

The livery design of Andretti’s car remains similar to its Season 8 design, albeit an evolution of its predecessor. The Gen3 car continues with its iconic red design which debuted last season following the teams new title sponsor, Avalanche.

In addition to its primarily red colour, the car also incorporates black and a patterned texture for a dynamic feel, in addition to the Gen3’s overall aesthetic.

In their reveal, Avalanche Andretti Team Principle, Roger Griffiths said:

“A new look, a new line-up, a new car and a new manufacturer partnership, there is a lot to be excited about for Avalanche Andretti Formula E as we embark on our ninth campaign in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.

“We couldn’t be more excited about what the future might hold for the team as we kick off our assault on the Season 9 championship starting out with the pre-season test in Valencia.”

Dennis will return for his third season for the team and the British driver will now be partnered alongside, Andretti’s new arrival, 2012 World Endurance Champion and Formula E pole sitter, Lotterer.
