Estonia is next up on the calendar as the WRC continues through the second half of the season and towards the conclusion of the current generation of Rally1 cars.

There will be 11 Rally1 contenders in Estonia, with Toyota bringing five cars to the event, whilst both Hyundai and M-Sport Ford will bring three cars to the event.

With the event, based in Tartu, being one of six gravel events to make up the rest of the season, it means Toyota’s Elfyn Evans – as the current championship leader – will be forced to open up the road when the action unfolds on Friday.

So, who will be taking part in the event next week?

Toyota

As previously mentioned, Toyota will bring the biggest line-up of Rally1 contenders with five cars. Evans will head Takamoto Katsuta, Sami Pajari and Sebastien Ogier, who is coming in on the back of his victory in Greece.

Championship contender Oliver Solberg will also be in attendance with Toyota as the Swede embarks on his return to Estonia, the home of his first rally win. Solberg made a special appearance for Toyota last season in Estonia, despite competing in the WRC2 championship that year – something he won.

The Swede put on a show and showcased why he deserved a seat at the tip of Rally racing, eventually taking the rally win, his maiden victory in the WRC.

Hyundai

The South Korean manufacturer will run a different trio of drivers this weekend, having changed frequently between Dani Sordo and Hayden Paddon.

Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux will take up their usual positions within the team, but they will be joined by Esapekka Lappi, who makes his return to the team since Sweden, back in February.

M-Sport Ford

Compared to Greece last time out, M-Sport will run one less car in Estonia, with privateer Jourdan Serderidis not taking part in the upcoming event.

It means M-Sports’ regulars, Joshua McErlean and Jon Armstrong, will be alongside Martins Sesks, in what will be the closest thing to a home rally for the Puma driver this season.
