F1 returns this weekend with the Miami Grand Prix marking round four of the F1 world championship, and with it a return to the sprint race weekend.
It marks the second sprint weekend event of the 2026 season after the Chinese Grand Prix, back in March.
Following the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian cancellations, it means the championship has followed an alternative weekend format so far, with it running grand prix-sprint-grand prix-sprint formats.
It means there will only be one sole practice session before the teams and drivers head directly into competitive sessions, with sprint qualifying ahead of the sprint, traditional qualifying and the grand prix.
The weather is expected to be a mixed bag this weekend with a high risk of thunderstorms expected on Sunday, following two hot and dry days on Friday and Saturday.
So, what is the schedule this weekend?

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
