F1 heads to Azerbaijan for round 17 of the 2025 world championship, moving away from Europe after the Italian Grand Prix concluded that leg of the championship.
As the sport arrives in Baku, the country could be set to host a championship-winning event as there is a possibility that McLaren could mathematically seal the constructors championship this weekend.
To do this, McLaren need to finish 346 points ahead of their closest rivals (Ferrari) after the 51-lap race in Baku. A 1-2 finish would seal the title for the defending constructors champion at the iconic Baku street circuit.
But, if Ferrari clinched a victory, then the title would be pushed back as early as the Singapore Grand Prix, two weeks later.
Despite this, the drivers title is still yet to be decided and will not be in a position to be sealed this weekend. Currently, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri leads with a 324 points haul in the championship, and the Australian only has a lead of 31 points over his teammate Lando Norris.
So, at the eighth edition of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, what are the official timings for the race weekend?
Friday
Free Practice 1 – 12:30pm
Free Practice 2 – 4pm
Saturday
Free Practice 3 – 12:30pm
Qualifying – 4pm
Sunday
Azerbaijan Grand Prix – 3pm
