McLaren’s Oscar Piastri will line up on pole position for the Sprint race at the Belgian Grand Prix, but how does the rest of the grid line up for the event?

Piastri has claimed sprint pole position for the third sprint race of the season as the Australian pipped Red Bull’s Max Verstappen by nearly half a second, ahead of his teammate Lando Norris.

Norris was the first to set the benchmark pace in SQ3, setting a 1m 41.128s lap around the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, but Verstappen quickly beat the McLaren, before Piastri topped the timing boards.

Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton had a shock exit in SQ1, whereas his teammate Charles Leclerc was able to climb up to fourth overall.

The seven-time world champion was in the elimination zone going into the final runs of the session, but a spin on his final go saw him exit in 18th.

He joins the man who replaced him at Mercedes, Kimi Antonelli, who completed the order in 20th, having flat-spotted his mediums at Stavelot on his first run.
