Oliver Solberg on cusp of WRC victory at Rally Estonia
19th July 2025Toyota’s Oliver Solberg is on the cusp of taking his maiden victory in the World Rally Championship as the Swedish driver remains the rally leader heading into Sunday.

Having taken the rally lead on Friday morning, Solberg has continued to hold onto the lead of the rally going into the final day of the event. Having taken a 12.3-second advantage into Saturday, the Swede has increased this up to 21.1 seconds over the two trailing Hyundais.
Hyundai’s Ott Tanak and Thierry Neuville completed the top three, in second and third, respectively, behind the pace-setting Swede. Tanak made a mistake on the first stage of the day when the home-hero Estonian made a mistake into a chicane.
This left Tanak to battle it out for second place with Neuville as the two leap-frogged each other as the two crews fought it out. By the end of the day, the Hyundai world champions stand only four seconds apart.

Toyota’s Kalle Rovanpera sits in fourth, in between the trio of Hyundais, as Adrien Fourmaux rounds out the top five in fifth. The Frenchman is followed by the remaining Toyota cars: Takamoto Katsuta, Elfyn Evans and Sami Pajari, in sixth, seventh and eighth.
Martins Sesks stands as the fastest M-Sport Ford driver as the Latvian heads the trio of drivers, in ninth, ahead of Joshua McErlean and Gregoire Munster, in 10th and 11th.
Only three stages make up the action on Sunday, meaning Solberg only has to survive three tests tomorrow before he can step onto the top step of the podium as a Rally winner in the WRC.
The action will get underway with the first and only pass of Hellenurme, which will get underway at 9:39am local time.
