Standing as one of the WRC’s most historic events on the calendar, Rally Finland also poses as one of the fastest with average speeds rising to around 120kph. It’s a case of who is the bravest to go as fast as they can without mistakes.

Finnish drivers have been known to excel at their home rally but this is not the case for one particular Finn: Kalle Rovanpera.

Toyota’s two-time world champion has not yet won the event, having crashed out of the event in recent seasons, and it has been dubbed his ‘Finland curse.’ Last year, he looked to be on course for victory, but a loose rock in the penultimate stage sent him into the trees and out of the event.

A total of 11 Rally1 entries have been confirmed for the event. So, who will be competing in Finland?

The Entry List

Toyota

The Japanese team will be competing in their ‘home rally’ at the end of July as their headquarters is based in Jyväskylä, Finland. They will boast an extended entry list as they return to five cars. This follows Rally Estonia, where they only entered four cars.

Elfyn Evans will head the team ahead of Rovanpera, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari. Sebastien Ogier has been confirmed to be part of the team’s lineup after the eight-time world champion confirmed he will be attending on social media.

Hyundai

Hyundai will remain unchanged from their 2025 three-car lineup as Ott Tanak will lead the South Korean manufacturer, ahead of Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux.

M-Sport Ford

M-Sport will continue to bring an extended entry list as the team will bring three cars to the event. Their regular drivers will run their two regular drivers, Gregoire Munster and Joshua McErlean.

Martins Sesks will also continue with the team for the event, to complete his six-rally part-time programme.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
