Estonia was absent last season as it was part of the European Rally Championship in 2024, and was replaced by Rally Latvia in 2024. However, the Rally, which made its debut in 2020, will return in 2025.
The event has quickly established itself as a fan favourite with rapid roads, huge speeds, small gaps and no room for error. Pace notes need to be accurate to push the limits, as small errors can be costly.
In 2025, only 10 Rally1 crews will tackle the Estonian gravel with Toyota and M-Sport reducing their entries.
Toyota
This will be the first event since the Kenyan rally, back in x, which will not feature the eight-time world champion Sebastien Ogier, who will miss out on this event. However, he will return for Finland next time out.
This means Toyota will run a four-car entry with Elfyn Evans continuing to lead the charge as the championship leader, ahead of Kalle Rovanpera, Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari.
Hyundai
No changes here for the South Korean manufacturer. It will be the home rally for their leading championship driver, Ott Tanak. The Estonian, who will enter his home event on the back of victory in Greece, his and the team’s first of the season.
Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux will back up their home hero for the event as part of the team’s usual three-car line-up.
M-Sport Ford
Like Toyota, Ford will run one car fewer than they did in Greece and will drop to a three-car entry list, as Jourdan Serderidis will miss out on the Estonian rally.
It means Gregoire Munster, Joshua McErlean and returning part-time driver Martins Sesks will compete for the Cumbrian team.
