Ahead of the final practice and qualifying for the British Grand Prix, the FIA has released another version of the Race Directors’ events notes, with a minor change related to qualifying and the DRS.

It stands as the only update to the notes this weekend, so far.

Prior to the British GP weekend, the event notes discussed that the use of the DRS detection areas would be deactivated ‘in each individual zone’ if yellow flags are present, listing this would be used during all free practice sessions and the race.

Lewis Hamilton claims there’s ‘time to find’ at British Grand Prix

However, qualifying has been added to this list as part of the second version of the notes.

Usually, the event notes covered this aspect of the DRS detection, as previously seen in the event notes such as Austria and Canada, but it was not included in this weekend’s document.

A point which has now been rectified.

The areas which the zones that would be affected in the event of yellow flags stand at corners 5, 6 and 7, for the first DRS activation point, and corners 13, 14 and 15 for the second activation zone.
