FIA confirm extensive inspection ahead of Miami GP
2nd May 2025The FIA has confirmed they have completed additional physical inspections on Max Verstappen’s car after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

This weekend, ahead of the Miami Grand Prix, the FIA released a document that confirmed Verstappen’s Red Bull challenger was subject to more extensive physical inspections.
It confirmed that Verstappen’s car was chosen randomly from the Saudi Arabian GP’s top 10 finishers.
The FIA Technical Delegate, Jo Bauer, confirmed in his report that the RB21 was subject to a physical inspection of the car’s cooling.
The report confirmed that the car’s engine air system and the oil and coolant system, and the charge air cooling system were checked as part of these extensive inspections.
This was in addition to the attached sensors, loom routing and connections to the SECU and ‘other units.’

Racing Bulls reveal ‘summer edition’ livery ahead of Miami GP
In the report, the FIA Technical Delegate said:
“After the race in Jeddah, car number 01 was randomly chosen among the top ten cars for more extensive physical inspections.
“Subject to these physical inspections were the engine air intake system (TR Article 5.15) and the oil and coolant system and charge air cooling (TR Article 7) as well as all attached sensors, their loom routing and connections to the SECU and other units.
“All inspected components were found to be in conformance with the 2025 Formula One Technical Regulations.”
It was found that all the inspected components were found to be in conformance with the 2025 F1 Technical Regulations.
