Max Verstappen finally claimed his first win of the 2025 season in a controlled drive from start to finish. This has produced the fourth race winner of the Formula 1 season, including sprints, in as many races.
Verstappen was joined by the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri on the podium, who now extend their team’s championship lead to 111 points – 36 points ahead of second-placed Mercedes (75pts).
It was a race of very little across the 53-lap race. One of the very few exciting moments came when Norris and Verstappen ran close together on the pit exit, at the end of lap 21, which resulted in Norris going off track as Verstappen accelerated away.
Norris claimed Verstappen forced him off the circuit, and onto the grass, but the stewards dismissed this without any further action.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
