The FIA have confirmed that all cars have passed scrutineering after the usual post-race checks were completed at the Japanese Grand Prix, at the Suzuka Circuit.

In China, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and both Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc were disqualified, albeit for different reasons. Hamilton had excessive skid wear whilst Leclerc’s SF-75 was underweight by 1kg. This was the same for Alpine’s Pierre Gasly, who was also underweight by 1kg.

Whilst all cars were checked against their weight, tyre pressures, fuel pressures, pressure logs on engine cooling systems, high rev limit bands and other factors. Only a selection of cars were chosen for other tests.

Such as Piastri, Norris, Leclerc, Hamilton, Verstappen, Yuki Tsunoda (Red Bull) and George Russell (Mercedes) were checked for skid wear.

In the document, which claimed all checks which were completed, the FIA Delegate, Jo Bauer, reported:

“All car weights and the items checked were found to be in conformity with the 2025 FIA Formula One Technical Regulations.”

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
