For the first time in the sport’s history, there will only be one official launch day: today (February 18, 2025), even though some teams have run shakedowns with bespoke liveries on their 2025 cars. The event marks a celebration in the sport’s history as it celebrates its 75th anniversary.
Usually, at this time of the year, teams would have dripped out their cars for the upcoming season in the two weeks leading up to pre-season testing. In some circumstances, some reveal their cars on the eve or morning of testing.
There are many things to look forward to at this event, such as fans seeing Lewis Hamilton in Ferrari red. Will Red Bull still wear its usual livery?
So, for this historical event; how do you watch it and when is it?
Where is it?
As previously forementioned, the event will be held at London’s O2 Arena, in the United Kingdom. All 10 teams will be present, alongside the 20 drivers competing and the team principals.
It is set to be hosted by comedian and actor Jack Whitehall, alongside Laura Winter, Arianan Bravo, and Lawrence Barretto. Live music will also be provided by iconic names such as Take That, Kane Brown, Brian Tyler’s Are We Dreaming and MGK.
How do you watch it?
Even if you’re not watching the event live at the O2 Arena, you will still be able to watch this historical moment on television. In the UK, Sky Sports will broadcast this from their dedicated F1 channel.
For fans, who do not reside in the UK or have a Sky Sports package, they will still be able to watch it for free through Formula 1’s social media channels; YouTube, X, Facebook and TikTok.
When will it be on?
The event will take place on February 18, 2025, and is set to start at 8pm local time (GMT), lasting approximately two hours.
We, ApexMotorsports.co.uk, will also run a live blog to cover the event which will be published closer to the start time.
