Formula 1 has confirmed that they are to embark on a world premiere event that will consist of all 10 teams and 20 drivers to launch the 2025 season in an unprecedented way.

The event is set to be held at London’s The O2 where the teams, drivers and team principals will present – in front of fans – their 2025 liveries and mark a start to the sports 75th anniversary.

On the announcement, Formula 1 President and CEO, Stefano Domenicali said:

““For the first time we will bring together our fans, all 20 superstars of our sport and some very special guests to officially kick off our new season and mark our 75th year of racing.

“With 2025 set to be a classic season following all the drama so far in 2024, this is a fantastic opportunity for fans of all ages to experience up-close the incredible entertainment spectacle that is Formula 1.”

The world premier event is set to take place on February 18, 2025, between 8pm and 10pm. It is set to be brought to life by Brian Burke of BrianBurkeCreative, Stufish Entertainment Architects, DX7 Design and production company 1826.

According to Formula 1, fans will be immersed into the spectacle that will see the teams unveil their 2025 liveries and the season’s driver line-ups. During this team, it is expected that interviews will be taken place with key figures of the sporting which will include drivers and team principals.

“The FIA is delighted to join our colleagues at FOM and all the teams in the staging of the inaugural Formula 1 season launch event,” said FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem.

“The occasion will also serve as a fitting prelude to a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the sport throughout the 2025 season.”

The prices are set to range between £58 to £113 (including an additional transaction fee of £2.50 per order). Fans who won’t be able attend the event will still be able to watch the event live, which is expected to follow in due course.

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
