The All-American triple header comes to an end this weekend with the Brazil Grand Prix, held at Sao Paulo’s iconic Interlagos circuit, but what does the forecast look like?

Starting in North America for the US Grand Prix, travelling through Central America for the Mexico City GP, the penultimate – all-American – triple header comes to an end in South America for the Brazilian Grand Prix.

McLaren continues to hold a lead over Ferrari who overtook Red Bull Racing for second place in the constructors last weekend, dropping the defending world champions to third overall.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen holds a diminishing lead over McLaren’s Lando Norris, of 47 points, as the Dutchman finished the previous race in sixth after 20 seconds worth of penalties knocked him out of contention for a podium-finish.

However, according to the Met Office, the weather is looking to be different compared to last year’s edition.

Last year, qualifying was prematurely ended as a dark cloud shadowed above the circuit, turning the track into darkness, damaging grandstands as the weather turned into thunder and lightning.

So, what is the weather expected to be like?

Friday – FP1 and Sprint Qualifying

Time: 11:30am (2:30pm GMT) & 3:30pm (6:30pm)

Kicking off the action with a sole practice session and sprint qualifying, it looks like it’s going to be a dry start to the weekend. The sun is expected to be out in full force for both the opening practice session and Sprint quali.

The temperature is set to start around 22 degrees during FP1 before increasing up to 26 degrees for sprint qualifying. For both FP1 and Sprint Quali there is a 30% risk of rain.

Saturday – Sprint & Qualifying

Time: 11am (2pm) & 3pm (6pm)

Saturday, a day full of competitive action, is expected to start in a similar fashion with sunny weather during the Sprint race. However, the weather is expected to worsen with a light shower prior to the qualifying but it’s forecasted to pass for the session itself.

The heat will remain fairly warm, increasing between the two sessions. It’s forecasted to be 24 degrees around the sprint before increasing up to 28 degrees for qualifying.

The chance of rain is expected to increase between the two sessions with a 30% for the first session, increasing up to 60% ahead of qualifying.

Sunday – Race

Time: 2pm (7pm)

It looks to be a dry race with sunny intervals before the race starts before the sun shines in all its glory, mid-race. Temperatures are expected to hold around 26-28 degrees throughout the race.

3pm holds the highest chance of precipitation with a 40% chance of rain, a 10% increase compared to 12pm where it stands at 30%.
