On Wednesday, VCARB announced they were going to run a special livery at this weekend’s Singapore GP, which will stand as the sport’s first fashion-inspired livery in 30 years.
This follows a tease online when the team hinted at something coming. Fans speculated this could have been a driver announcement as RB are yet to announce their second driver for 2025.
However, it has been revealed on Wednesday that the team will run an Denim inspired livery which will be on show under the lights of the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
“Over the years we’ve seen fashion brands join forces with F1 teams and drivers, especially when it comes to outfits, but never have we seen any of them take this step in full immersing themselves on track too,” commented team driver, Daniel Ricciardo.
”We’re really raising the stakes here and paving the way, showcasing that there’s so much more that can be done for brands to explore. I think we’re definitely going to open the eyes of these fashion houses and see more fashion-inspired liveries come to life.”

The bespoke design features heavily on a denim design which will honour HUGO’s style, prominently on the nose of the car and sidepods. It will be the first time since Benetton donned a ‘united colours’ livery back in the 1990’s.
VCARB and HUGO’s partnership has been described as a combination to push the boundaries and bring fashion closer to the track. However, this is not the only change as the team’s garage will consist in ‘overarching denim’ alongside changes to the race suits for Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda.
On the reveal, Tsunoda said:
“Fashion is one of my passion points, so to see our team collaborating in such a unique way, beyond our team kit and our daily HUGO outfits is super cool, especially since no one else has ever done it before.
“Doing something like this is a real reflection of our identity and creativity; at VCARB, we’re looking to speak to fans from all industries: art, music, fashion, so this is a real step towards everything we’re striving to do as a team.”
As it currently stands, RB are the second team who are bringing a new livery to the Singapore GP with Mercedes bringing their livery to celebrate Petronas’ 50th anniversary.
