Bahrain to host 2025 F1 pre-season tests
16th September 2024The Bahrain International Circuit will once again host Formula 1’s pre-season testing as the sport embarks in its final season of the current regulations.

On Monday, F1 and the FIA confirmed that Bahrain will host pre-season testing which is set to be another three-day test ahead of the season opener at Melbourne, Australia.
As such, the sport also confirmed the dates of testing with it being held in at the end of February, starting on February 26 and ending on February 28, 2025.
The Middle-Eastern circuit will host the pre-season test for the fifth consecutive time when the teams and drivers get to work gathering the data on their 2025 machinery. It will also be the sixth overall time the venue has held the event.
Bahrain’s track has been favoured in recent season as a result of the consistent weather conditions, compared to Spain’s wintery conditions when the sport when to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Formula 1 and the FIA have announced that the Bahrain International Circuit will host three days of pre-season testing in 2025.

This comes after the sport has shifted the calendar to support and drive forward F1’s ambition of becoming Net Zero by 2030. As such, the sport will shift off to Australia for the first event of the season two weeks later.
F1 will return to Bahrain for the fourth round of the championship having moved to avoid its clash with Ramadan, which occurred this season with Saudi Arabia too.
As such, Bahrain will form the first triple header of the season spanning from the Japanese Grand Prix, Bahrain GP and Saudi Arabian GP.
