Weather report: the latest forecast ahead of WRC Rally Italia Sardegna
28th September 2026The World Rally Championship heads to Sardinia for the Rally Italia Sardegna, which marks the sports season finale, and here is the latest weather forecast.

The WRC heads to Sardinia to round out the season with the finale, after it was announced Saudi Arabia will not be taking place in November as a result of the ongoing tension in the Middle East – and teams travel restrictions to the country.
A total of 60 crews have been entered for the event, mixing from WRC Rally1 to Rally5 cars.
However, three of them remain within contention for the WRC drivers and co-drivers title, with Toyota’s Elfyn Evans continuing to lead the way ahead of his teammates, Sami Pajari and Oliver Solberg.
It is expected to be a primarily dry weekend, but conditions are expected to worsen and get wet by the end of the event. So, according to AccuWeather, what is the latest forecast of the rally weekend?

Thursday
The opening day of the weekend, which includes the opening test and shakedown, it is expected to be a sunny start to the season finale. Temperatures will start out high at 28° and lows 18°, with a low chance of rain sitting at 2%.
Friday
The first full day of the weekend is expected to remain dry, with clouds increasing across the day. Temperatures will dip slightly by a degree to highs of 27° and lows of 17°.
The chance of rain is set to increase slightly to 8%.
Saturday
Saturday could be a mix of weather conditions, but it is expected to be dry with bright periods. Temperatures will return to Thursdays level with highs of 28° and lows of 18°.
However the chance of rain is expected to jump, going up to 25%.
Sunday
The final day of the event, and the season, is expected to be a wet one with ‘a few showers’ expected. Temperatures will drop again, ever-so-slightly, to highs of 28° and lows of 18°.
There is a significant expectation of rain on the final day with the expected chance of rainfall sitting at 67%.
