Entry List: Full WRC entrants for Rally Italia Sardenga finale
28th September 2026The World Rally Championship heads to Italy for the Rally Italia Sardenga and here’s who will be competing in the sport’s recently announced season finale.

The WRC heads to Sardinia for the final round of the championship, with the drivers title still left to be decided. This came after the Saudi Arabian rally was cancelled as a result of the ongoing tension in the Middle East, and team’s travel restrictions.
There will be a total of 60 entrants competing in the season finale, with 11 of those entrants standing in the final Rally1 list of the current generation of rally cars.
Three drivers still remain within mathematical contention for the driver’s title, all of them being Toyota drivers. Elfyn Evans remains the championship leader ahead of his closest rival, Sami Pajari and Oliver Solberg.
So, who will be competing in Sardinia this weekend?
Elfyn Evans given ‘an even fight’ after not nominated for Rally Italia
Toyota
Toyota, having wrapped up their sixth consecutive world championship title (and their 10th), will field five cars this weekend.
Evans is not set to score manufacturer points – although its not needed – as the team confirmed it is to give the Welshman ‘an even fight‘ against his closest rivals, Pajari and Solberg, who all have fresher engines. Sebastien Ogier and Takamoto Katsuta round out the Japanese team’s entrants.
Hyundai
Hyundai, as usual, will sport three cars in Italy, with Adrien Fourmaux and Thierry Neuville fielding their usual places in the teams regular 2026 line-up.
However, they will be joined by Daniel Sordo, who will control the third i20 N. It will be his first top flight appearance since Acropolis Rally Greece, back in June.
M-Sport Ford
Similarly to Hyundai, M-Sport Ford will also field three cars at the WRC season finale, with Jon Armstrong and Joshua McErlean taking up their usual positions.
They will be joined by Martins Sesks, who will pilot the third Puma, returning to the WRC for the first time since Rally Finland.
