Over the last few races, the Racing Bulls Team has quietly become one of Formula 1’s most consistent midfield teams. While all eyes are on the top four teams, the Faenza-based team has secured three consecutive double-points finishes, closing the gap to Alpine for fifth place in the constructors’ championship, sitting on 44 points to Alpine’s 57.

The Streak begins in Monaco

This consecutive streak for the team kicked off at Monaco, where, before Alpine’s Pierre Gasly’s podium was reinstated, both Lawson and Lindblad secured their first double-points of the season and their personal career-best finish in fifth for Lawson and sixth for Lindblad.

This result marked the beginning of the team’s most consistent run so far this season.

Momentum Continues in Barcelona

Just a week later, in Barcelona, Lawson and Lindblad continued their run of strong results, finishing ninth and tenth on the road. After a post-race penalty for Alpine’s Franco Colapinto, who finished eighth, the Racing Bulls duo were promoted up a position each to eighth and ninth, as Colapinto dropped to tenth.

Austria Makes It Three in a Row

During last weekend’s Austrian Grand Prix, both Lawson and Lindblad reached the third and final qualifying session on Saturday afternoon, with Lawson in ninth and Lindblad in tenth. On Grand Prix Sunday, they converted their qualifying results into yet another double-points finish for the team, making it three consecutive double-points finishes.

Lawson’s Step Up to Lead Driver

During the 2025 season, Lawson was dropped by the Red Bull Racing team after only 2 rounds. He was demoted to the sister team at Racing Bulls. However, he has found his rhythm with this team and has settled into his role as the lead driver.

The New Zealander sits inside the top 10 in the drivers’ championship with 30 points so far, and has scored points on six occasions out of a possible eight.

Lindblad’s Rookie Rise

For Lawson’s teammate, Lindblad, the British teenager started his rookie campaign off with an impressive debut in Melbourne, Australia. He secured his first points in Formula 1 in his first-ever race, finishing in eighth. After Australia, Lindblad suffered three consecutive pointless races and an unfortunate DNS in Canada.

However, the Rookie’s momentum soon picked back up as he scored points around Monaco, Barcelona, and Austria, including his best career finish so far in Monaco.

The Potential for Silverstone Success

Now, the 18-year-old heads to Silverstone for his first home Grand Prix as a Formula 1 driver. The Brit is no stranger to the Silverstone circuit and has enjoyed success in the junior categories. In 2024, Lindblad became the first Formula 3 driver to complete a clean sweep of the weekend by winning both the sprint race and feature race.

With Lindblad’s previous Silverstone success, his growing confidence as a Formula 1 driver, and Racing Bulls’ recent pace in medium- to high-speed corners, the British Grand Prix presents an opportunity for Lindblad to secure points in front of his home crowd.
