McLaren confirm Norris in attendance for 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed
19th June 2026McLaren has confirmed Lando Norris will be present as part of the celebrations of his world drivers’ title at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed.

McLaren has announced its line-up for the iconic and historic Goodwood Festival of Speed, which will consist of Norris, Leonardo Fornaroli, Bruno Senna and Rob Garofall.
Defending Formula 1 champion, Norris, is set to take control of the MCL60, their 2023 world championship contender, on Saturday, July 11. He is set to drive up the hill in celebration of becoming F1’s latest and 11th British world champion.
McLaren’s reserve driver, Fornaroli, will also drive the team’s MCL60 over the festival weekend, taking over driving duties apart from Norris’ brief moment on Saturday.
“Goodwood Festival of Speed offers motorsport fans the opportunity to get up close to incredible cars and on-track action, and we’re excited to be part of it again,” said McLaren Racing Chief Marketing Officer, Lou McEwen. “It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase our rich heritage by bringing some of Formula 1’s most iconic cars as well as celebrating current achievements.
“This year we’re celebrating 50 years since James Hunt won the World Championship, so we had to bring the winning chassis, M23. The MP4/8 race-winning car will also drive up the hill.
“This is the same car Ayrton Senna drove when he won the 1993 Australian Grand Prix. I’m particularly excited to bring the MP4/8B for public viewing for the first time since Ayrton and Mika Häkkinen drove it at a test in Estoril in 1993, a real treat for all motorsport fans.
“We’ll also be celebrating last year’s double Championship win on Saturday, when Lando drives the MCL60 to Goodwood House, a fantastic opportunity to look back at this very special moment for the team.”
Besides the running of McLaren’s 2023 car, the team will also showcase its heritage across the weekend with the running of its 1993 MP4/8 and MP4/8B, and the 1976 M23.
The MP4/8, 33 years on from Ayrton Senna’s last-ever F1 race win, will be driven up Goodwood’s iconic hill by Fornaroli, Senna and Garofall across the event, with driving duties shared amongst the three. The MP4/8B, the last McLaren car to be driven by Senna, will be seen in public for the first time since September 1993.
Additionally, it is 50 years since James Hunt won the world championship in 1976; as such, McLaren will exhibit the M23 at the upcoming festival.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed will get underway on July 9 to July 12.
