The WRC returns to Europe for the first time since the end of July, when they took part in Rally Finland, and it marks a return to asphalt conditions for the first time since Rally Islas Canarias.
It will be the first of two back-to-back rallies on tarmac roads with CER ahead of the penultimate round of the championship, Rally Japan.
Toyota heads into CER on the chance they can seal the manufacturer’s title for the fifth consecutive season, as long as they are not outscored by five points at the tri-country event.
In the other championship, an intense title fight is brewing with four drivers still in mathematical contention. Toyota’s trio of Sebastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans, and Kalle Rovanpera remains in contention, along with Hyundai’s Ott Tanak.
Hyundai has nominated to remove Tanak from manufacturer points, in a bid to strengthen his title bid ahead of the final three rounds of the season. It will leave defending champion Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux to take points for the South Korean manufacturer.
So, what is the official itinerary for the WRC’s Central European Rally? Times displayed will be shown in local times.
