Austrian Grand Prix: Who finished where?
30th June 2025Lando Norris claimed his seventh career victory as the British driver led a 1-2 finish for McLaren at the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix, but where did everyone else finish?

McLaren have now extended their championship lead in the Constructors Championship to an impressive 417 points in 11 races after Norris led home a 1-2 finish ahead of teammate, and championship leader, Oscar Piastri.
It wasn’t without issue as the race start was aborted due to Williams’ Carlos Sainz being stuck on the grid before he got going again, when the pack returned to the grid. He later retired due to a brake fire at the end of the pit lane, and didn’t start the race.
Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli brought out the safety car on the first lap as the young rookie locked up into turn three and collided with Red Bull Racing’s four-time world champion, Max Verstappen.
Including Sainz’s non-start, the weekend went from bad to worse for Williams as they suffered a double DNF as Alexander Albon trekked back to the pit lane, mid-race, to retire. Combined with Verstappen and Antonelli’s collision, it meant four drivers retired from the event across the race session.
Whilst Norris and Piastri took the top two positions, Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc rounded out the podium positions as the two Ferrari cars, including Lewis Hamilton, sat comfortably in third and fourth, respectively.
