The two junior categories, who regularly support the main Formula 1 world championship, have announced on Tuesday their upcoming championship calendars for their respective 2026 seasons.
Both championships will continue to support the Formula 1 championship as they will take up their usual position as supporting categories to the premier-class Formula series, taking part in select race weekends.
Following the announcement of the F1 calendar, which sees Imola being axed from the championship once more, the supporting races will head to Spain, alongside F1, for the inaugural race in Madrid.
F2 will consist of a 14 round calendar, starting in Melbourne, Australia, in March, whilst F3 will only have 10 rounds in its championship.
Both championships will start in Melbourne, Australia, in March, but the F3 season will end in Madrid, on September 11 – 13. This means the usual final race of the season moves to Spain instead of Italy. However, F2 will conclude in their usual season finale, in Abu Dhabi, in December.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
