Weather Report: The latest ahead of the 2025 F1 Japan GP
1st April 2025The Formula 1 season continues this weekend for the first triple header of the season, starting at the Japan Grand Prix, so what are we to expect with the weather?

The Japan Grand Prix will be the third round of the 2025 world championship, following the first double header of the season in Australia and China.
This weekend marks the beginning of the first triple header of the season at the Japanese Grand Prix, which will be followed by visits to Bahrain and Saudi Arabia for rounds four and five.
McLaren has gotten a great start to the season with Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri taking one grand prix win apiece in Australia and China, respectively.
Norris remains the championship leader with a 10-point advantage in the championship over his teammate. Will there be more McLaren success in Japan, or will the weather have an impact?

A mixed forecast
It is expected to be a mixed weekend, this week, just like the season opener in Australia, as the meteorologists at The Weather Channel predict two dry days and a rainy day.
Friday is expected to be dry with a ‘generally clear’ day, highs of 15° and a three percent chance of rain. Saturday is somewhat similar to and it looks like dry running will remain on the cards.
The second day of the weekend is expected to be mostly cloudy with highs of 16°, but the chance of rain increases up to 4% before it reaches a weekend high of 84% during the night.
Sunday is expected to be a wet day with morning showers expected on the final day of the weekend. It’s forecasted to be as high as 17° with a 58% chance of rain.
