Haas F1 are set to bring a bespoke livery to the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix as the team unveiled a cherry blossom livery on their 2025 championship contender, the VF-25.

The design pays homage to the ‘sakura,’ a season which carries cultural significance for the country. The spring flower motifs will be decorated on the cars driven by Esteban Ocon and Oliver Bearman this weekend.

It also strengthens their ties to the nation, having signed a significant partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing last year. In a statement, the team said:

“To celebrate the official launch of cherry blossom season in Japan, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team is paying homage to the ‘sakura’ with a bespoke livery for the Japanese Grand Prix.

“The popular spring flower motif will feature across the VF-25 and digital assets throughout race week.”

Haas has endured a challenging start to the opening two races of the 2025 season.

After a poor start in Melbourne, the team bounced back in China with a fifth and eighth finish, benefiting from a double disqualification from Ferrari. Now, they stand sixth in the teams standings, three points behind Williams Racing and Scuderia Ferrari, in fourth and fifth, respectively.

The American F1 team are not the only one seemingly set to bring a new livery to the Japanese Grand Prix. It’s hinted that Red Bull will also be taking a livery to Suzuka this weekend after teasing on social media.

It is speculated that the Red Bull team will likely run a white livery in a tribute to the engine supplier’s Honda, who will move over to Aston Martin in 2026.
