Leclerc currently fastest in morning session of F1 testing 2025 – Day 3
28th February 2025Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc currently stands as the fastest man on the final day of Formula 1’s Pre-Season test in Bahrain ahead of Mercedes’ Andrea Kimi Antonelli and McLaren’s Lando Norris.

It was the last eight hours of testing on Friday, as the third and final day of the event, at Bahrain’s Bahrain International Circuit, having completed two days on Wednesday and Thursday.
Before the cars even hit the track, Aston Martin had confirmed a change to their driver programme. Lance Stroll was set to complete the morning’s run with Fernando Alonso in the afternoon.
However, Stroll was reported to not be ‘100%,’ so the team opted to run Fernando Alonso for the third consecutive morning session of the test. Stroll has now been confirmed to run in the afternoon session.
As both Williams’ Carlos Sainz and Red Bull’s Liam Lawson completed full-day stints yesterday, it meant Alexander Albon and Max Verstappen, respectively, will run full-day stints on Friday.

Leclerc is currently the fastest man on the track with a lap time of 1:30.811, and he stands ahead of Antonelli and Norris. Verstappen and Doohan round out the top five in fourth and fifth, respectively.
Albon was sixth ahead of Hadjar, Bortoleto and Bearman were seventh, eighth and ninth. This left Alonso to round out the 10 morning runners.
