KitKat becomes official chocolate bar of F1 in multi-year agreement
11th November 2024Formula 1 has announced KitKat as the official chocolate bar of the sport as part of a new multi-year partnership with Nestlé.

F1 has announced on Monday, November 11, that they have finalised a partnership with Nestlé and will make the KitKat chocolate bar the official chocolate treat of the sport.
The multi-year agreement which is set to commence in 2025 and will mark two big achievements for both brands; the 90th anniversary for KitKat and 75th anniversary for F1. However, it will not be for 2025 entirely as it’s expected to continue on throughout 2026.
“We’re delighted to have such a globally recognised and fun brand as KitKat joining us as a partner,” said F1 Chief Commercial Officer, Emily Prazer.
“They’re universally loved, and we can’t wait to see the fantastic experiences they’ll be bringing to our fans at the track and the new audiences they’ll introduce to the sport.”
As part of the agreement, F1 fans will be able to promotional prizes, consumer activations and ‘immersive fan zones’ at some Grand Prix. This will be combined with trackside branding and ‘light-hearted content.’

The two brands are reported to be dedicated to increasing fan experience by combining the racing aspect of F1 with KitKat’s well-known sense of humour.
KitKat’s arrival is also set to unite two global fanbases in ‘an innovative collaboration’ with the Nestlé brand bringing its ‘have a break, have a KitKat’ phrase to the pinnacle of motorsport, highlighting the importance of taking a moment to pause.
Head of Strategic Business Units and Marketing and Sales at Nestlé, Bernard Meunier said:
“Formula 1 is a global phenomenon with a rapidly growing, diverse fanbase, especially among younger audiences. With its global reach and packed schedule, F1 offers KitKat the perfect platform to remind everyone to make time for a break.
“We’re excited to bring our signature sense of fun to this thrilling sport and to create memorable experiences for fans around the world.”
According to Formula 1, more details will be revealed in due course.
