Pirelli reveal new F1 podium trophies ahead of US Grand Prix
15th October 2024Pirelli have revealed the new podium trophies ahead of the United States Grand Prix with unique ‘Heroo’ characters for the top three drivers.

Formula 1 returns to the United States for the first race as part of an all-American triple header, before travelling south for the Mexican and Brazilian grand prix.
As such, the sole tyre provider has unveiled three new podium trophies which will be presented at this weekend’s US Grand Prix.
The trophies have been named ‘Heroo’ as a nod to the F1 drivers being ‘portrayed as the heroes’ who race at speeds exceeding 300 km/h, controlling a 1,000 horsepower power unit and with over a hundred litres of fuel right behind them.
The three Heroo trophies were created by Italian artist and designer Matteo Macchiavelli, in collaboration with Pirelli Motorsport. All three will take the form of a human silhouette with their arms raised, all of which will be encased in carbon fibre, sitting on a rubber base.

All the trophies will have a different coloured helmet with the race winner and winning team with a golden yellow helmet, sprinkled in gold dust. However, the second and third placed drivers will have trophies fitted with silver and titanium helmets, respectively.
These are an interpretation between the racing car and its tyres whilst linking in the ‘beauty and elegance’ with the sports speed, quality and excitement.
Replicas of Heroo are expected to be produced in a limited production run for collectors and fans of collectibles.
However, the trophies are not the only changes being made to the podium celebrations as the tyre supplier is bringing caps which are made from denim. This will be a special Austin cap for the US Grand Prix which already happened in previous races this year such as Miami, Montreal, Silverstone and Monza.
