F1 heads to the Netherlands seaside circuit, in Zandvoort, to complete its 15th round of the 2024 campaign.

The Dutch GP is home to Red Bull Racing’s Max Verstappen who will be looking to end his drought of wins, having not won the last four events, and extend his championship lead over McLaren’s Lando Norris.

At the same time, Mercedes will be looking to bounce back from a technical infringement in Belgium which saw their driver George Russell disqualified for an underweight car.

Here is the weather forecast for Zandvoort over the weekend, provided by BBC Weather

Friday: FP1 and FP2

It’s expected to be a wet resumption of the F1 season as weather looks like Free Practice 1 is expected to endure light rain with a 70% chance of precipitation.

The following practice session is expected to be the opposite with sunny weather and a 12% chance of rain.

Saturday: FP3 and Qualifying

Following on from Friday’s start, Saturday looks to be a complete day where the intermediates or full wets will be on display. FP3 is expected to experience light rain whereas Qualifying is forecasted to have heavy rain.

Both sessions have a 70% chance of precipitation.

Sunday: Race

Sunday, according to the forecast, will be the outlier of the weekend as the day is predicted to be a full dry day with no chance of rain.

However, at race time (3pm), it is expected that the grand prix will experience sunny intervals with a moderate breeze.
