The Monaco Grand Prix has been red-flagged after Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and the two Haas cars of Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg crashed out.
Formula One’s most prestigious race is currently under red flag conditions after Perez, Magnussen and Hulkenberg crashed out of the race on the run-up Beau Rivage.
On the exit of the opening corner, as the pack ventured through the dicey Saint Devote corner, Perez had both Haas cars for company up the hill with Hulkenberg on the left and Magnussen on the right.
However, Perez and Magnussen made contact which sprung the RB20 around and into the barrier leaving Magnussen’s nose to enter Perez’s sidepod.
As a result, the Mexican’s car was launched across the track and collected the Haas of Hulkenberg. Due to all of the contact, all three cars retired from the race immediately.
Both Haas cars were in somewhat recognisable conditions whereas Perez’s was wrecked. Only the survival cell was truly recognisable as the car was missing three tyres, a rear wing, its nose and front wing.
Although Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc got up to the Neuville chicane, the race will be restarted in the grid order. It’s set to restart at 2:44pm (BST).
The trio of retired cars weren’t the only drivers to have issues.
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz had a puncture following contact with McLaren’s Oscar Piastri.
The Alpine duo also came together on the exit of Portier as Esteban Ocon squeezed Pierre Gasly on the corner exit, launching the former up into the air.

Hi, I’m Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion.
I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I’ve loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
