The British GT Championship and its organiser have parted ways from their title sponsor, Intelligent Money, after four seasons.

The SRO Motorsports Group, which organises the British GT Championship, has ended its sponsorship agreement with its title sponsor Intelligent Money, on Monday afternoon.

Intelligent Money joined the sport as its title sponsor in 2020 and ignited a multi-year partnership which spanned the 2021, 2022 and 2023 seasons.

As part of the branding, the cars competing in the championship were also covered with Intelligent Money with a white or black border on the windshield, depending on the class of car.

Intelligent Money Chief Executive, Julian Penniston-Hill said:

“We wish to thank SRO and all of the British GT teams for so many great memories, opportunities and experiences over the last four years.

“We remain huge fans of the championship and look forward to following the 2024 season, albeit from further afield.”

The team have announced that until a new title sponsor has been found the sport will be known as British GT Championship.

On the news, British GT Championship Manager, Lauren Granville thanked their former title sponsor. She said:

“I would like to thank Intelligent Money for its support and enthusiasm over the last four years – a time period that proved particularly challenging for motorsport due to the global pandemic.

“We wish the company and in particular its founder, Julian [Penniston-Hill], all the best for the future.”

The nine-race calendar and 2024 campaign will start on the Easter Bank Holiday, from March 30 to April 1, at Oulton Park.

That’s it for the article: British GT and SRO part ways from Intelligent Money!

Hi, I'm Kamron. I created ApexMotorsports.co.uk in the dying embers of the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. It allowed me freedom to write whatever I wanted to write about which was all things motorsports, my passion. I have put a lot of effort in over the years to keep this website in its best shape and I've loved seeing the brand grow consistently, month-on-month, year-on-year. My ambition is to keep watching this brand grow into a primary outlet of news for all things motorsports whilst fueling my desire to pursue a career in sports journalism, specialising in motorsports.
