Formula E Season 10: Who’s driving for who?
28th December 2023Formula E is just weeks away from the first lights-out-moment of the season, in Mexico, so who’s driving for who in the sport’s 10th season?
Envision Racing
Let’s start this list off with the defending team champions, Envision Racing.
The 2023 title winners managed to retain the skillset of, former Formula E world champion, Sebastien Buemi heading into 2024. However, there was a change in the second seat as, two-time race winner, Robin Frijns moved over from ABT Cupra.
Jaguar
In a similar instance to Envision, only one change was made over the end-of-season break as the team will compete with an all-New Zealand line-up.
10-time race winner, Mitch Evans remains in the team but he is now partnered up alongside Season 9 vice-champion, Nick Cassidy.
Avalanche Andretti
Whilst Envision took the teams title last season, it was Avalanche Andretti’s Jake Dennis who took the drivers title, in London. As such, the Briton will stay at Andretti with the hope of similar successes.
Following a poor season, Andretti and Andre Lotterer parted ways which has allowed Norman Nato to swoop in as Dennis’ teammate for Season 10.
TAG Heuer Porsche
Porsche has gone with an unchanged line-up heading into 2024 as they have retained both drivers from last season, Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio Felix Da Costa.
DS Penske
Just like Porsche before them, DS Penske will also enter the 10th season of Formula E with an unchanged line-up. The former world champion Stoffel Vandoorne and, two-time world champion, Jean-Eric Vergne will both compete for the DS team.
Maserati MSG
Maserati will be one of the teams to bring in a new face to the Formula E paddock this season. Jehan Daruvala has switched from the Formula One feeder series; Formula 2, for the all-electric series and will be lined up alongside, four-time race winner, Maximilian Gunther.
Nissan FE
Nissan has added themselves to the list of a single change in their driver line-up as Oliver Rowland moves back over to the Japanese team, where he secured his first win during Season 6, alongside Sacha Fenestraz.
NEOM McLaren
Following Rene Rast’s departure from the team at the end of the season, McLaren was forced to find a replacement for the German. The promising Jake Hughes will continue his journey with the team with Sam Bird as his teammate for Season 10.
ERT (Formerly NIO 333)
Formerly known as NIO 333 Racing, their rebrand into ERT retains some similarity going into 2024 as both Dan Ticktum and Sergio Sette Camara continue with the team this season.
Mahindra
Mahindra will head into the 10th season of Formula E with a brand new line-up. Edoardo Mortara has moved over to the team following his 14th-place finish with Maserati, last season. At the same time, following a short time spent in Formula One, former Formula E world champion, Nyck de Vries returns to the sport with the team.
ABT Cupra
After a dismal season last time out, the team will hope the experience from 13-time race winner, Lucas Di Grassi will move them forward. Nico Muller will also partner up with Di Grassi as he returns to his seat in the team.
