The WRC Promoter has secured another three-year extension on their current contract with Greek pay-TV COSMOTE TV which will allow Greek fans to enjoy the World Rally Championship for longer!

The current agreement for COSMOTE TV was due to expire by the end of 2022, but the Greek pay-TV broadcaster has signed up to the WRC Promoters top-tier rally action for another three years.

In a press release, media rights director at WRC Promoter, Philipp Maenner said:

“Broadcasters are excited by the addition of the FIA European Rally Championship to our already successful roster. So much so that COSMOTE TV could not wait until 2023 to start its coverage!”

“WRC Promoter’s portfolio of top-class motorsport really resonates with fans across the globe.

“Because of that, broadcasters are keen to not only increase their programme hours, but also to show their confidence in the future by signing long-term contracts.”

The Greek pay-TV provider currently holds the leading position as such it will continue to broadcast coverage of the FIA’s World Rally Championship, World Rallycross Championship and the European Rally Championship (ERC).

In addition, the broadcaster will receive even more coverage as Greek fans will be able to watch every stage live – including the Power Stage.

While their newest deal won’t start until 2023, COSMOTE will be showcasing their coverage of the ERC, which is due to start in March with their opening round in Portugal.
