WRC confirm Safari Rally Kenya delay after Camp Moran cancelled
13th March 2026The World Rally Championship has confirmed the second pass of Camp Moran, at the Safari Rally Kenya, has been cancelled due to ‘deteriorating’ conditions.

The continuation of the Safari Rally Kenya will be delayed on Friday after it has been confirmed that SS3 – Camp Moran 2 has been cancelled, meaning SS4 will kick off Friday’s action.
WRC has confirmed on social media that the second pass of Camp Moran has been cancelled due to ‘deteriorating road conditions.’ In the social media post, the WRC said:
“SS3 Camp Moran 2 has been cancelled due to deteriorating road conditions. Today’s action will begin with SS4 at 09:11 (local).”

Yesterday, the sport saw the long 24km test impacted by heavy showers, prompting challenging conditions for the crews.
Sections of the stage were wet, damp and or waterlogged, and some crews had issues with their windshields fogging up, which heavily impacted their performance on Thursday’s opening stage.
The first pass was ultimately won by Toyota’s Oliver Solberg, who cleared ahead by going 30 seconds faster than his closest rival, teammate and championship leader, Elfyn Evans.
As SS3 has now been cancelled, it means the first pass of the 18.95km stage, SS4 – Loldia, will kick off the action, which will now consist of seven stages on Friday, instead of the originally planned eight.
Friday’s action has now been rescheduled to get underway at 9:11am local time (6:11am GMT), consisting of Loldia, Kengen Geothermal and Kedong, before running a reverse loop in the afternoon.
